“Because every youth deserves a leader”

BALOO - Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation for Cub Scout leaders and Webelos Den Leaders is an overnight energetic training event that will provide the necessary knowledge and skills for a Pack to be able to go Family Camping or a Webelos Den to go Webelos Den Camping.

It will cover everything you need to know to plan and run an overnighter. BALOO is more than just camping; it includes:

  • Ideas for outdoor activities, games and ceremonies

  • Information on selecting and using camping equipment

  • How to run a campfire program

  • Hands-on Cub Scout cooking demonstrations and much much more.

This training is required for any adult who is in charge of a Pack and/or Webelos Den campout.

Participants attending should dress for the weather, wear comfortable closed toe shoes, NO OPEN TOE SHOES! Bring a water bottle, tent, sleeping bag, personal gear, rain gear, flashlight, paper and pencil and be prepared to learn the basics for Cub Scout Family Camping.
